No water jet without a orifice.
The orifice converts the potential energy into kinetic energy and the water leaves the orifice at 3 times the speed of sound. The quality of the orifice therefore determines the quality of the cutting jet and thus of the cutting tool.
We offer 3 material versions: sapphire, polycrystalline orifices (Black Diamond) and monocrystalline orifices.
Overview of orifice types
Saphir:
The sapphire orifice is the traditionally economical solution with a service life of 30-80 hours. We only recommend sapphire orifices if the orifice diameter has to be changed frequently and there is a risk that it will be damaged when changing or even get lost in the water basin.
We offer the sapphire orifices in all common diameters and orifice sockets. At ALLFI, sapphire orifices are defined in the article number with the suffix -S.
Black Diamond:
This orifice is made of fine diamond grains, which are brought into their final shape by a binding material. This orifice has a very good price/performance ratio and a service life of 800 – 2000 hours can be achieved.
We offer the Black Diamond orifices in all common diameters and orifice sockets. They are defined at ALLFI in the article number in the suffix -BD.
Diamant:
The manufacture of synthetic monocrystalline diamond is done using HPHT (high pressure, high temperature) technology by combining a mixture of carbon and transition metals at very high pressures and temperatures. As a result, orifices can be manufactured in flawless quality without inclusions. Our Diamond orifices are recommended for applications with high system availability and a service life of 1500 to 3000 hours can be expected.
We offer diamond orifices in all common diameters and versions for pure water applications (suffix -DP) and abrasive applications (suffix -DA).
We recommend installing an ALLFI high pressure filter as close to the orifice as possible. The service life can thus be doubled.
